Police said they responded to a drive-by shooting in the 5100 block of Els Street and found multiple gunshot victims.
Officers said they saw two vehicles drive away from the area and pursued both. Lentz was found suffering from a gunshot wound in one of the vehicles and taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Police said it was ultimately determined that the second vehicle was not involved in the investigation.
“He was a legend. He was everything,” Lentz's mother, Salisa Sinclair, said after the shooting. “They took a part of me, and so much of me. It's gone.”
Lentz had signed a football scholarship to play football at the University of Louisville.
Burke is charged with second-degree murder and conspiracy to commit second-degree murder, according to a news release.
