ATLANTA — On Tuesday, the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame announced the renewal of its partnership with HBCU program Kia Motors' “Accelerate the Good” program.
The program will fund five HBCU scholarships for the upcoming school year.

CFA said the program is intended to support new and current HBCU students to offset the cost of attending college.
This is the second year of the partnership.
“After successfully providing financial aid to five talented individuals last year, this program is once again offering $5,000 to each high school senior planning to attend or currently enrolled at a historically black college or university.” We are considering offering five scholarships,” the press release states.
Applications will be accepted from March 18th to May 31st.

To apply, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Demonstrate unmet financial need
- Intent to major in one of the following fields: Science – Biology, Chemistry, Pre-Medical Studies, Physics, Applied Science, Materials Science. Technology – Aeronautics, Automotive Science, Computer Science, Mechanical Science, Technical/Vocational majors (related to mechanics, computers, and technology). Engineering – All engineering fields such as applied, chemical, civil, electrical, industrial, and mechanical. Arts – Design, Graphics, Architecture, Fashion, Fine Arts, Studio Art, Film/TV. Entertainment Arts (and other design-driven arts).Mathematics – Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics
In addition, candidates must submit a formal application, a current resume, an essay on why they should be selected, and an interview.
