Once again, the Concacaf Nations League belongs to the U.S. Men's National Team.
The Americans defeated Mexico 2-0 in Sunday's final at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The victory marks the Red, White and Blue's third straight title in the Nations League, giving them bragging rights against their arch-rivals.
Tyler Adams and Giovanni Reyna scored the goals for the winning team, and goaltender Matt Turner and the defense kept Mexico off the scoreboard.
Adams' goal just before half-time was outstanding, firing from well outside the penalty area and almost ending the suspense that had made the start of the match a back-and-forth affair. From there, Reyna also scored a beautiful goal during a prolonged and dangerous attack by the Americans.
But it was Adams' walkout that generated a lot of love on social media.
Sunday's game was very different from the American semifinals. The USMNT narrowly defeated Jamaica thanks to an own goal in stoppage time that sent the game into overtime.
The Americans maximized their advantage with a 3-1 victory, but it was far more tense than Mexico's crushing 3-0 victory over Panama.
Adams played a key role off the bench in the win over Jamaica and was included in the starting lineup for Sunday's final. This goal was long awaited and was the first for the national team since 2018.
It was his second goal in 38 caps for the USMNT, and it couldn't have come at a better time or from a more notable opponent.
And it helped ensure the Americans celebrated when the final whistle blew.
