Jonah Artman/Warren Central, yes. — The dominant midfielder was a standout scorer with 10 goals and two assists…All-MHSAA Region 2-6A selection
Luke Bond/Warren Central, yes. — Excellent young midfielder scored 8 goals…All-MHSAA Region 2-6A selection
Corbin Burroughs/St. Aloysius Jr. — Striker tied for team lead with six goals … also had three assists … two-time All-District selection
Dacyan Brown/Vicksburg, yes. — Sophomore forward tied for team lead with five goals.
Abel Gonzalez/Vicksburg, that's it. — The defensive midfielder was also an excellent scorer, scoring four goals.
Sam Hall/St. Aloysius Jr. — Good defender also showed his scoring ability, scoring four goals.
Canon Jackson/Vicksburg, yes. — Good young forward tied for team lead with 5 goals
Laney Lewis/Warren Central, yes. — Vikings setup man led the team with eight assists, scored four goals and earned All-Region 2-6A honors
John Ellis Montgomery/St. Aloysius Jr. — Third all-district selection, tied for team lead with six goals and six assists…MAIS All-Star
Jacob Porter/Father Warren Central — Freshman winger had seven goals and five assists and emerged as an All-Region 2-6A player as a future star.
Gavin Pugh/Porters Chapel Sr. — Versatile player who splits his time between goalie and field…made 200 saves as a goalie and scored 10 goals from the field.
Colby Solomon/Warren Central Sr. — MHSAA Region 2-6A first-team keeper has 12 shutouts and averages five saves per game…Southwest Mississippi Community College signee.
Caleb Tucker/St. Aloysius Sr. — Second-year starter, goalie and team leader, averaging six saves per game.
Dalton Windham/St. Aloysius Jr. — Versatile player who rotates between offense and defense…3 goals, 2 assists.
Each year, the Vicksburg Post selects top local athletes in various sports to the All-County team. Fourteen players were selected to the 2023 boys all-county soccer team, led by Warren Central's Tyler Godchaux.
Godchaux, a senior, had a team-high 18 goals and five assists, leading the Vikings to the MHSAA Region 2-6A championship and the Class 6A semifinals. This is the first time since 1993 that they have made it that far in the playoffs. He signed a contract to play at Southwest Mississippi Community College.
Warren Central boys coach Greg Head was also named Coach of the Year along with WC girls coach Jeremy Lawrence.
Other All-County players represented the following schools: Vicksburg, Warren Central, St. Aloysius and Porter's Chapel Academy. congratulations!
