Taylor, 27, was arrested Thursday by U.S. marshal deputies in Cache County, Utah, following an indictment by a Nashville grand jury on two counts of first-degree murder.
Investigators said Taylor's girlfriend, Jade Benning, died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center on March 6, 2023, her 25th birthday. She was rushed to the hospital by ambulance on the night of February 25, 2023, after Taylor reportedly called 911 shortly after 9:30 p.m., claiming Benning appeared to be having an allergic reaction. was carried to. Benning's condition quickly became critical, and her five-month-old fetus, which Taylor thought was her father, died on February 27, 2023. Detectives were unable to interview Ms. Benning before her death.
Taylor played at Arkansas State University from 2014 to 2017 after graduating from Auburn High School.
