2024 FSU Football Spring Training is less than a week away – finally! — We asked Warchant subscribers a simple straw poll question on the tribal council bulletin board.: Which player are you most looking forward to reading or hearing about this spring?
The answer is a fun picture.
Certainly, that quarterback is no surprise. DJ Uiagalelei Received the most votes among all players. Any time a program hands over the reins to a transfer quarterback, let alone an experienced one like Uiagalelei, interest will increase.
But as of Thursday morning, 14 different players had been named out of 21 responses in the thread.
Let's think about that for a moment. Two-thirds of the responses asked for up-to-date information on various players. That's a very interesting definition of camp going forward.
Only three players received multiple votes: Uiagalelei (six votes), receiver Hykeem Williams (2) and linebackers Sean Murphy (two). Of the 14 players nominated, Warchant subscribers selected nine offensive players and five defensive players for FSU.
Below are some of our favorite responses from our subscribers. Minor edits have been made for clarity.
QB DJ Uiagalelei
“His style makes the offense work.” — FSU Dole
“He's Jordan's replacement, the most important position on the field. Has his accuracy improved? Can he execute his strategy effectively?” — Dave 393
“The most important player” — FSUkenny
WR Hykeem Williams
“His Instagram seems to be jacked today. He is working on this. I hope it pays off next year.” — Nord Cab30
“I'd love to get more reps and another year in the weight room and film room to see what he does.” — Last Frontier Anor
LB Sean Murphy
“I want to see DJ Randy It's the next step in his development, but we know he's primarily a run stuffer and not great in coverage. We need another LB to step up with him. ” — Rulli4FSU
DT Darrell Jackson
“Darrell Jackson. We need an All-ACC year from this guy to strengthen the middle of our defense. If he does what he's supposed to do, he's going to be a huge asset to our linebackers.” — Norbiz
EDGE Sione Rorohair
“Peyton obviously has one of the starting edge spots locked in. Lolohea is a fifth-year SR and was second team All-Pac-12 last year. He's the other starting edge spot. I guess I have the inside track to get .” — FSU91
Edge Marvin Jones Jr.
“I don't know what to expect from him this season. We just haven't seen much (for better or worse) from him at the college level.” — Noles885
