Luton Town captain Tom Lockyer will watch the match at Bournemouth and thank the medics who saved his life when he went into cardiac arrest at the venue.
Lockyer, 29, collapsed on the pitch during a meeting between the two clubs on December 16th.
The Premier League fixture has been called off and a rescheduled match will be held tonight (Wednesday) at the Vitality Stadium.
Wales defender Lockyer has not played since going into cardiac arrest. He was hospitalized for five days and then put on an implantable cardioverter defibrillator.
He now hopes to use his ordeal to persuade more people to learn CPR.
“Of course I'm eternally grateful. Realistically I'm very lucky. If this hadn't happened on a football pitch, there's a good chance I wouldn't be here,” Lockyer told BBC Breakfast. Told.
“The thought of leaving your girlfriend and raising a child on your own is heartbreaking. That's why this happened to me, and although it's obviously a horrible thing to have to go through, It's important to experience something bigger.''
