Museral, in his eighth season at the helm of the Buckeyes, led the team to a program-record 26 conference wins this season. These victories included a series sweep over Duluth, Minnesota, for the first time in program history, and a landslide victory over then-No. 1 ranked Wisconsin to take the top spot in the polls.
Under her guidance, seven Buckeyes earned All-WCHA honors this season; Joy Dunn He was named the league's Rookie of the Year. All but one player on Ohio State's roster this year has 10 or more points from him, making him a threat up and down the line graph.
In addition to previous successful seasons, Muselal became the winningest coach in program history this year. Entering this weekend, she earned a total record of 191 wins, 72 losses, and 19 draws.
The Buckeyes will win 31 games in 2023-24, marking the team's third straight 30-win season. The team won 17 games on home ice this year, tying a program record.
There are still games left, but the Buckeyes have already set program records for season goals, points and assists, single-game goals, and single-game short goals.
This is Muselal's fifth award in his career and third in the same season.
Ohio State is scheduled to play in its seventh consecutive Finals faceoff this week against Minnesota-Duluth in the semifinals at Ridder Arena starting Friday at 2 p.m.The winner of Friday's game will advance to Saturday's title game at 3 p.m.
