Westlake offensive coordinator Logan Yantek will replace Jason Hall as the Demons' head coach, pending school board approval, the school announced on March 11.
Hall will return to Westlake in 2022 for his second stint as coach. Hall's goal was to grow the program in the short term, according to a news release. Yantec will now take over.
While leading the offense, Yantek also coached the quarterbacks under Hall. Westlake went 7-4 (3-2 in the GLC West) and its offense averaged more than 30 points per game.
Yantek, a Strongsville graduate, has coached for 10 years with stops at Brush, Olmsted Falls and Lakewood. Yantek is his seventh grade social studies teacher at Lee Burneson Middle School.
The Demons started the season 4-0, but won three of their next four games against Medina Buckeye (45-7), Rocky River (55-28) and Bay (44-28). was defeated.

Westlake finished the regular season with wins over North Olmsted (54-49) and Illyria Catholic (27-7) to earn the No. 8 seed in Division II, Region 6 and advance to Brecksville-Broadview. – Participated in the home playoff game against Heights. The Bees won the game 30-3.
Hall previously coached Massillon Washington and played at Westlake twice, from 2015-18 and 2022-23. His overall record with the Demons is 24 wins and 40 losses. His best year at Westlake was in 2016 in Division II, Region where he went 8-4 with six semifinal appearances.
