The rain won again. Several regional contests were canceled or postponed due to thunderstorms that hit the Pensacola area on Friday.
Still, a few flag football games were played. Pace and Navarra took the win.

Navarre 26, Tampa Catholic 6: The Raiders are on a three-game winning streak after defeating Tampa Catholic in the first round of the Capital City Classic in Tallahassee.
Quarterly scores are not provided. Individual statistics were not available.
Navarre (6-1) will also play two games Saturday at the Capital City Classic, but the games have not yet been determined. The time has not yet been announced.
Pace 32, Fort Walton Beach 0: The Patriots shut out Fort Walton Beach at home to get back in the win column.
Pace led 20-0 after the first quarter and finished the scoring with 12 more points in the second frame. No one scored in the second half.
Amaya Pablo threw for 188 yards on 12 of 15 hits in the game. She also threw three touchdowns. Pablo also had two carries for 25 yards and a touchdown. Cadence Wormers had one completion for 14 yards.
Kenna Paciti scored two receiving touchdowns and had three receptions for 63 yards. Emma Turner also had five receptions for 52 yards and a score. Cadence Wormers had a multi-reception night with three completions for 50 yards. Barclay Lutz (1 reception, 23 yards) and Pablo (1 reception, 14 yards) also caught passes.
Defensively, Emily Good recorded eight tackles in the game. Seven other players recorded at least one tackle. Emma Sutton and Bela Ortiz both had sacks.
Pablo was a force on both ends, recording a 28-yard pick-six. Emily Neal also returned an interception 3 yards.
Pace (6-1) hosts Niceville Monday at 7 p.m.
women's tennis
Madison Central (Mississippi) 5, Pensacola Catholic 4: The Crusaders were eliminated in the quarterfinals of the Girls A Draw at the McGill Touren Invitational at the Mobile Tennis Center in Alabama.
In first singles, Gabby Goins (PC) outpointed Kennedy Hutto (8-2). Emily Jia (MC) defeated Maya Chavan in second singles (8-3). Maria Bush (PC) got her third single from Kirsten Norris (8-6). Alexa Anderson (PC) defeated Mary Dorgan Neely at No. 4 singles (8-5). At fifth singles, Audrey Adams (MC) defeated Amelia McIntosh (8-2). Caroline Touchet (MC) gets her 6th single from Ella Cage (8 wins, 2 losses).
In the first doubles match, Hutt and Gia (MC) outplayed Goin and Bush (8 wins, 4 losses). Chavan and Anderson (PC) won the No. 2 doubles match against Norris and Touchet (8-6). Neely and Adams (MC) defeated McIntosh and Cage (8-4).
The Crusaders (4-8) continue the McGill Touren Invitational on Saturday.

Gulf Breeze won with a set score of 25-18, 25-13.
