AVCA Top 20, POW: The top six schools remained unchanged: Grand Canyon, Long Beach State, Hawaii, UCLA, UC Irvine, and BYU.
GCU received 21 first-place votes and Long Beach received the remaining two votes.
Stanford University moved up one spot to seventh place, replacing Ohio State University, which dropped to eighth place. Penn State remains No. 9 and Pepperdine remains No. 10.
UC Santa Barbara, 7-10, returns to No. 19, with McKendree in the No. 20 for the first time this season. Lincoln Memorial and Daemen schools dropped out.

This week's AVCA representative athlete is McKendree's Tyler Paulsen. The senior setter had 81 assists in the MIVA sweep of Lindenwood and Quincy, leading the team to a .387 batting average. He is the first McKendree player to receive the honor in three years.
NCAA Men's Wednesday: There are four games on Wednesday, with No. 9 Penn State in the EIVA and No. 12 USC in the MPSF all in the spotlight. NEC's Saint Francis (PA) is affiliated with Fort Valley State University of SIAC, MIVA's McKendree is affiliated with independent Missouri A&T, and NEC's Deauville is affiliated with ECC's Roberts Wesleyan University.
