Dear Caleb Williams, If you're going to be quarterback for the Chicago Bears next season, you're going to need PR training. I mean, when someone asks you who your football GOAT (Greatest of All Time) is, you don't say this.
“Football, winning, things like that, mentality, [it’s] Tom Brady. My GOAT in football is Aaron Rodgers,” Williams told CBS Sports.
Wrong answer. I would say Sid Luckman, Jay Cutler, Eric Kramer, and Jim McMahon. Of course I'm kidding. Hopefully, Williams can put himself among those names, or even better, if the Bears draft him in the 2024 NFL Draft.
He's not wrong either. To be fair, Rodgers is one of the best quarterbacks of all time (sorry). He has thrown for 59,055 yards (9th all-time) and 475 touchdowns (5th all-time) in his career. Rodgers is a four-time MVP, 10-time Pro Bowler, four-time All-Pro, and won the championship over the Bears in 2010-11.
Rodgers is a Bears killer. He is 24-5 against them in his career. He threw for nearly 7,000 yards, 64 touchdowns and 10 interceptions against the Bears. He holds a 109 passer rating against them as well.
If you want to be a Chicago Bear, Caleb, you have a lot to learn. This is your first lesson. It's disrespectful to Aaron Rodgers.
