The Rebels enter the 2024 season ranked No. 5 in some of Pro Football Focus and CBS Sports' Way Too Early preseason rankings. The Rebels were projected to finish sixth by 247Sports and seventh by ESPN and On3.
Ole Miss recently added new talent to its 2024 roster, welcoming 31 mid-year students to campus. The list of new Rebels joining the team for spring practice includes 17 transfers from Division I, and 247Sports currently ranks it as the No. 1 class in team transfer rankings. According to Rivals, Ole Miss has acquired four of the top 50 available transfers.
Ole Miss returns 60 letter winners from last year's team, which finished the season 11-2, including a 38-25 win over No. 10 Penn State in the 2023 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. I let it happen. The Ole Miss baseball and softball home series will also be held on the weekend. The Rebels will play Mississippi State in baseball and Western Kentucky in softball. Baseball is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. (Friday), 7:30 p.m. (Saturday), and 1:30 p.m. (Sunday), and softball is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. (Friday), 3:00 p.m. (Saturday), and p.m. It is scheduled for 1 p.m. (Sunday).
