Six schools will participate in the tournament: Hawaii, Nebraska, Boise State, St. Mary's, Pepperdine, and Chaminade. After the conclusion of Friday's duals, each team will be seeded for Saturday's bracket play, with the top two teams from Thursday and Friday receiving byes for a spot in the semifinals, and teams 3rd through 6th earning a spot in the semifinals earlier in the day. He will play in the quarterfinals. Bracket play will be single-elimination, with the Waves potentially playing up to three duals on Saturday.

Looking ahead: Next week, Waves will head to Long Beach, Calif., to compete in the Beach Challenge on March 15th. Pepperdine will play Nebraska at 9 a.m. and No. 10 Arizona State at noon.

Last week in Malibu: Pepperdine went 1-2 at home last weekend at the Malibu Invite, dropped a back-to-back against Boise State 4-1, and defeated San Francisco on Friday. Then on Saturday, Pepperdine had a tough battle against #20 Arizona, but the team lost 3-2.
In the first dual, Boise State won in two sets on courts two and four, taking an early 2-0 lead after the first flight. The Broncos then won consecutive sets on Court 5 to seal the victory. Pepperdine had a solid effort in the first slot, but the Broncos took the court with scores of 22-20, 21-18 and held a 4-0 lead. In the close battle for the 3rd slot, madison oriskovic (Santa Barbara, California) and Christine Breede (Baloj, Latvia) The Waves earned one point with a 26-24, 23-21 victory, and Boise State finished the game with a 4-1 victory.
In the second dual against the Dons, Pepperdine quickly took a 2-0 lead after the first flight with Oriskovic and Breede winning in two sets 21-16, 21-12 on the second court. aubrey roberts (Walnut Creek, California) and Gracie Pedersen (Franklin, Tenn.) 21-13, 21-17 on No. 4 court.
Kaydon Myers (Scottsdale, Arizona) and Gabriela Perez (Loomis, Calif.) will be the pair to seal the victory, taking the No. 3 spot 21-7, 21-17.

Opponent's notes: Pepperdine will face Chaminade for the first time in program history. The Waves are 2-0 against Nebraska, dominating the Huskers in both contests. Pepperdine is 0-1 all-time against Boise State, as both teams met last weekend at the Malibu Invite. The Waves are 12-3 overall against Hawaii in 2019, winning both games 3-2. Pepperdine will likely face St. Mary's in bracket play on Saturday, and the Waves are 13-2 all-time against the Gaels. Swept the last dual in 2023.
