The Hermits fought hard to defend their title in the highest scoring state championship game in New Jersey history. Third-seeded St. Augustine (15-5-1) brought a dominant offensive attitude to The Rock on Monday, and it paid off with its second consecutive non-public state championship. Robert Romanino, Ty Simonette and Cam DeLeo each had hat tricks, and the trio accounted for all 10 goals in the Hermits' victory. He was the only time top-seeded Don Bosco (24-3-1) held the lead in the state final, with Eric Lin scoring a hat trick in the Ironman loss.

In his final high school game, Eli Singley scored his first goal of the season, breaking a 3-3 tie with 38.4 seconds left and giving Morris Knolls/Hills a magical run, his fifth time on the ice. Won the state championship. Governor Livingston led 3-1 early in the second period and the Golden Eagles battled back. Michael Simone made it 3-2 at the end of the second period, and Luke MacLeod's 33rd point tied it with 9:14 left. Simone slid a pass to Singley for the game-winner. Morris Knolls went 8-10-1 in the regular season, but won five straight games in the state playoffs to win the Co-op title.

Pingree defeated Immaculate Heart Academy 2-1 in the girls ice hockey state championship. After a scoreless first period, Pingry took the lead with a goal from Charlotte Diemar in the 3rd minute of the second period, and following IHA's goal in the same period, Diemar added another point to take the lead. brought points.
