The Pool B team was selected by the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, while the three schools selected from Pool C were Amherst, Hamilton and Plattsburgh State University.

The 2024 DIII Women's Ice Hockey Championship schedule is as follows (subject to change):
- Selection show: Sunday, March 3, 8:30pm ET on NCAA.com
- First round: Wednesday, March 6th 7pm
- Quarter finals: Saturday, March 9th, 3:00 p.m.
- Semi-finals: Friday, March 15th, 3pm and 7pm, hosted by the highest-ranked semifinalists.
- Championship: Sunday, March 17th at 3pm, hosted by the highest placed semi-finalists.
The tournament will consist of 11 teams in total, with 5 teams advancing to the quarterfinals and 6 teams competing in the first round. Seven teams will qualify by earning an automatic bid as conference champions, and the remaining participating teams will be selected at-large. Teams from the same conference will not be paired against each other in the first contest.
1st round (March 6th)
- Hamilton vs. Nazareth, 7 p.m. ET.
- Middlebury vs. Western New England, 7:00 p.m. ET
- Cortland vs. Elmira, 7 p.m. ET.
Quarterfinals (March 9th)
- Wisconsin River Falls vs. Gust.Adrophas, 3pm ET.
- Adrian vs. Hamilton/Nazareth winner, 3pm ET.
- Plattsburgh State University vs. Middlebury/Western New England State Winner, 3:00 p.m. ET

Gustavus Adolphus defeated Amherst 2-1 in overtime, capping an outstanding 27-3-0 season and winning the program's first national championship.
The DIII Women's Ice Hockey Tournament began in 2002 and has been held every year except for the 2020 and 2021 seasons, which were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Plattsburgh State won his record seven championships, and Middlebury College won his four.
