The 2024 North Carolina Women's Ice Hockey Championship begins with a selection show airing on ESPNews on March 10 at noon ET, followed by a national championship on March 22 and 24 at the Whitmore Center Arena in Durham, New Hampshire. This continues until the semi-finals and championship game.
Wisconsin defeated Ohio State 1-0 in the 2023 NCAA title game to earn its seventh championship in program history and become the defending national champion.

- The 2024 Women's Frozen 4 National Championship Game will be held on Sunday, March 24th at 4:00 pm ET at the Whitmore Center Arena in Durham, New Hampshire and will be broadcast on ESPNU.
The NCAA Tournament will consist of a total of 11 teams, with the top four seeds each hosting a regional venue. Five teams will qualify by earning an automatic bid as conference champions, and the remaining participating teams will be selected at-large.
