Stanford, California – On Saturday, No. 6 TCU finished the Battle of the Bay with a 2-0 performance. The Horned Frogs earned their sixth win of the season against St. Mary's (3-2) and their seventh win with an overwhelming victory over the University of California, Davis.
Personally, the two Horned Frogs had a perfect weekend at 4-0. hayley hamlet and Angelina Cumil.
“Overall it was a good weekend considering the weather conditions,'' said the head coach. Hector Gutierrez Said. “We had a great fight against Stanford, but we just couldn't pull it away at the end. The girls played hard all weekend and that's always a positive.”
Fast break against St. Mary's
• Emma Gragau And Anna Vergara scored her first point for the Horned Frogs in the fourth, 21-15, 21-17.
• The duo improved to 3-1 as a pair and 3-1 in the No. 4 position.
• Anete Namike and Tara Patton They lost to St. Mary's Couch/Haller in three sets 21-9, 12-21, 12-15.
• Sutton McTavish and alex parkhurst No. 3, 21-15, 21-12, scored TCU's second goal.
• The duo moved up to third place with a 3-0 record on the season.
• hayley hamlet and Angelina Cumil The pair continued their dominant start to the season by scoring the Frogs their third point from No. 1 position 21-12, 21-6.
• The duo both improved to 7-0 this season and both earned the No. 1 spot.
• This was Hamlet and Kumil's second final of the weekend.
• Keegan Polk and morgan williams They lost the game to St. Mary's Crump/Paola 18-21, 21-18, 15-17.
Fast break against UC Davis
• Emma Gragau and Ana Vergara They scored their first points against TCU from the fourth, 21-16, 21-10.
• This was the pair's fourth win of the season and they are now 4-1.
• Sutton McTavish and alex parkhurst The Horned Frogs secured two points from second place, 21-15, 21-12.
• These two have both improved to a 4-0 record this season.
• Keegan Polk and harry colin frist From fifth place, they won the game against TCU with a straight-set victory, 21-15, 21-12.
• This was their first show together and their first win together.
• hayley hamlet and Angelina Cumil The Frogs secured four points from first place with wins of 21-19 and 21-7.
• The two finished 8-0 this season.
• Luana Araco and Anete Namike They secured the sweep of TCU from third place 18-21, 21-18, 15-9.
• This was their first show together and their win together.
• TCU improved to 7-1 on the season.
• This is TCU's fourth sweep of the season and first against UC Davis.
• For the first time in Aggies history, the Horned Frogs opened up a 3-0 lead.

No. 6 TCU returns to Fort Worth for its first home game of the season on March 8. The Horned Frogs will host the Horned Frog Challenge (March 8th and 9th) to kick off the weekend against SFA on Friday at 11:30 a.m. TCU beach volleyball court.
