The 2024 North Carolina Women's Ice Hockey Championship berths were announced on March 10th. Eleven teams were selected to play, with Ohio State being the No. 1 seed.
The regional competition will be held on March 14th and 16th, with Women's Frozen 4 being held at the Whittemore Center Arena in Durham, New Hampshire. The national semifinals will be held on March 22nd, and the championship game will be held on March 24th.
Wisconsin defeated Ohio State 1-0 in the 2023 NCAA title game to earn its seventh championship in program history and become the defending national champion.

The NCAA Tournament will consist of 11 teams in total, with the top four seeds each hosting a regional venue. Five teams will qualify by earning an automatic bid as conference champions, while the remaining participating teams will be selected at-large.
