The Hungarian Swimming Federation has confirmed that there are 17 swimmers who have qualified for at least one Olympic Games at this summer's Paris Games.
According to the country's Olympic selection policy, swimmers must establish additional eligibility by a June 23 deadline set by World Aquatics.
In a departure from past Hungarian Olympic selection criteria, swimmers are currently not protected. By June 23rd, if someone swims a faster time than the following swimmers, they will be able to overtake the already qualified swimmers.
This is an important point to note for the 33-man Hungary squad heading to the European Championships, which begin on June 17 in Belgrade, Serbia.
Hubert Koss Leading in four events on the qualifying list, Christoph Mirak of Christoph Lasovski Second, the portfolio currently contains three events.
Ajna Kessery She is so far the only female qualifier with multiple events lined up.
new mom Katinka Hossu She is still aiming for a possible sixth Olympic appearance, but needs to achieve her first qualifying time.
