TALLAHASSEE, Fla. โ At the Seminole Beach Bash, No. 16 Georgia State (5-3) secured a 3-1 record over two days of play. The Sandy Panthers lost to host No. 4 Florida State in their opening game over the weekend, but remained undefeated with wins over No. 19 Tampa, No. 17 Stetson, and ULM. The matchup with the Warhawks will be the first Sun Belt game of the season.
Tournament notes:
- Savannah Everb and destiny white He led GSU to four wins over the weekend, playing in Flights 4 and 5.
- The win over No. 19 Tampa is the second win against the Spartans this season.
- After Sunday's win, the Panthers currently hold a slight edge against Stetson with an overall record of 10-9.
- From Canada, michaela jeffersondebuted over the weekend in a blue and white outfit.
next:
- bess van fleetteam will host its annual Day of Duals tournament on March 6 at the GSU Beach Complex.
- Georgia State will face Austin Peay at 9 a.m., then face No. 15 FAU for the second time this season at 5 p.m., and in-state foe Mercer at 7 p.m.
- The Panthers are undefeated against Austin Peay and Mercer.
- GSU lost 4-1 to FAU in its opening game last weekend. Overall, the Panthers are 13-9 when playing against the Owls.
