Colorado Springs, Colorado (May 13, 2024) – The U.S. Women’s National Team will open the 2024 Volleyball Nations League (VNL) May 15-10 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, entering the tournament with a roster of 11 veterans and three newcomers.
The Volleyball Nations League is the world's premier international indoor volleyball tournament held annually. The top 16 teams from around the world will play four games per week, with a three-week qualifying period. The top eight teams after the preliminary round will advance to the final round.

Week 1 roster includes four Olympic gold medalists from Tokyo 2020: Setter; jordyn poulterLibero Justin Wong-Orantesoutside hitter jordan larson and middle blocker Chiaka Ogbogu.
Other VNL veterans on the roster are setters lauren carlini outside hitter Ali Franti, avery schooinside and sarah wilhite parsons Opposition Daniel Cuttino and middle blocker Brionne Butler and anna stevenson hall.
The three players making their VNL debut are liberos. zoe fleckoutside hitter maddie skinner and middle blocker kayla hannelein.

Kiraly's first assistant was Tama Miyashiro, won a silver medal as a libero on the 2012 U.S. Olympic team. The second assistant is Marv Dunphy, alfie left and Erin Virtue.
The U.S. women are the reigning Olympic champions and No. 2 in the world rankings. Since the VNL was founded in 2018, they have won three times (2018, 2019, 2021) and finished in 4th place overall in 2023.
