As the regular season draws to a close, a handful of teams have been able to pull away from the rest. WCHA rivals Ohio State and Wisconsin sit atop Jordan Menard's final Power 5 regular season standings and are gearing up to take to the ice this weekend.
See the full rankings below:
1. Ohio State University (Previous: 1)
The Buckeyes dominated St. Thomas, 16-2, in a series that clinched the WCHA regular-season crown and kept them atop the Power 5 rankings, but there'll be no time to celebrate in Columbus, as Nadine Muzeral will lead the top-ranked Buckeyes to face No. 2 Wisconsin at LaVerne Arena on the final weekend of the regular season.
2. Wisconsin (previous: 2)
The highlight of Wisconsin's thumping victory over top-five Minnesota was Leila Edwards' game-winning overtime goal on Friday night, which is sure to be a Goal of the Year contender. But forgotten in the shuffle of highlights was the 4-0 shutout that gave the Badgers the season series win over the arch-rival Gophers in Game 2 of the series.
3. Clarkson (First: 4)
Clarkson was dominant in its final two games of the regular season, defeating conference rivals Dartmouth and Harvard, 12-0, last weekend. The Golden Knights allowed just 26 shots over the two games, all of which were saved by Clarkson's goaltending duo.
4. Cornell (previously: 5)
The Big Red clinched their 16th Ivy League championship this weekend with a 2-1 victory over Yale. Freshman goalkeeper Annelis Bergmann was outstanding on Saturday, holding the Bulldogs to just 1 of 36 shots.
5. Colgate (not ranked last time)
The ECAC champions secured this week's Power 5 spot with a commanding 6-0 win over Brown last weekend, and Elissa Biederman scored two goals in Saturday's conference-winning win.
