Las Vegas /Endurance Sportswire/ – The 14th An iconic rock and roll run® Running Series Las Vegas kicked off Saturday night as participants of all ages, abilities and backgrounds conquered the 2024 Rock 'n' Roll Las Vegas 5K in downtown Las Vegas.
As runners and walkers alike crossed the finish line at the Fremont Street Experience, they were swept up in the annual celebration held at the Downtown Las Vegas Event Center. To create a night to remember, there were also live performances and electric acts from DJ Cable, DJ Mal-Ski, DJ Marlon Dasoul and more. Several interactive experiences, games, photo ops, local artists, food trucks, cocktails and more made for an unforgettable and fun evening.
A two-day weekend of immersive running experiences has begun. sullivan clark (27-year-old from New Zealand) finished first in the men's competition with a time of 16 minutes and 58 seconds. Glynnis Milne (38 years old, from Canada) finished in first place among women in 19 minutes 35 seconds.
“I've known about this race for a while, but this is my first time. A friend of mine was at the Health Expo yesterday and I realized I could still get in, so I registered last minute,” Clark said. Told. “It's great to see so many people taking up running. Running is a big part of my daily life and I hope more people will be encouraged to get physically active. It's the best thing you can do for your body.”
“I think this is my fifth time running here since 2015,” Milne said. “I love Vegas. It's one of my favorite cities. The atmosphere at the races is so great. You have to be prepared to come here and work hard, but it's a lot of fun.”
As Saturday night's energy draws to a close, the party is just beginning as Sunday night brings the half marathon and 10,000 participants to the iconic Las Vegas Strip. Rock 'n' Roll Las Vegas combines live music and entertainment to provide attendees with a best-in-class, unforgettable experience as they cruise down the iconic Las Vegas Strip at night. His 10K, the world's largest running his party with distances for everyone, including a half marathon, once again invites runners, athletes, tourists, locals and party lovers from all over the world to take to the streets . Participants pass iconic landmarks such as the “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign, Downtown Las Vegas, and the Bellagio Fountains before finishing mid-Strip.
The weekend event draws more than 27,000 registered participants of all levels to enjoy a combination of music, running, and everything Southern Nevada has to offer.
