Auburn, Alabama – On Saturday, five former Auburn Tigers answered the call for a career change and were welcomed to the National Football League.
defensive back Nehemiah Pritchett In his first offseason appearance as a Tiger, he was selected by the Seahawks as a fifth-round pick, No. 136.
“It really feels like a dream come true,” Pritchett said. “It's something I've dreamed of all my life and just watched it on TV when I was a kid. I'm really grateful for this opportunity. I'm blessed. I want to share this moment with my friends. “I have a chance to celebrate with my family and friends, and I can't wait to see what happens next.'' ”

“It's something I've always wanted to do since I was a kid,” Simpson said. “My five years at Auburn have put me in a great position to be in this position. I am so blessed and grateful to have this call and to be an Indianapolis Colt.”
Fellow Auburn Cornerback dj james Seattle tied him with Pritchett at No. 192 in the sixth round, as the Seahawks invested back-to-back picks on members of the Tigers' talented secondary.
“It's something I've been working on my whole life,” Pritchett said. “I'm excited because now I'm ready to show off my skills. I have a chip on my shoulder.”
