Oregon State outside linebacker Mathias Malachi-Donaldson put his name in the NCAA transfer portal on Monday.
Malachi Donaldson is the 13th Beaver to enter the portal since the spring window opened on April 16th. Closes on Wednesday. Players must access the portal by the deadline if they wish to qualify for next season.
When Malachi-Donaldson signed with Oregon State in December 2022, he was considered one of the big names in that class. OSU beat out schools like Georgia, Florida State and Texas to land the 6-foot-5, 233-pound Southern California product. Things didn't work out for him, however, as Malachi-Donaldson never appeared in a game during his two years at Oregon State.
With two days left in the spring portal period, the Beavers would like to move running backs Damian Martinez and Isaiah Newell, safeties Joe Swen and Sam Mason Jr., and receiver Trevor Pope, defensive lineman Quincy Wright, offensive linemen Jason White and Dylan. Lopez, linebackers Michael Ehrhart, John Miller and Malachi-Donaldson, tight end Carter Newman and quarterback Travis Throckmorton.
Of those 13 players, Martinez is the only one who has found a new college destination, committing to Miami on Saturday.
