Athens, Ohio – The Ohio State swimming and diving team is back in action Thursday (Feb. 29) for the second day of the 2024 Mid-American Conference Championships in Athens. After two days of competition, the Bobcats sit in third place with 170 points.
Akron is currently in first place with 249.5 points, followed by Miami in second place with 207.5 points.
The Bobcats opened the night with the 500-yard freestyle final, with junior athletes Gabriel Mackie (Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania) finished fourth overall with a time of 4:51.91.
In the 500-yard free repechage, the sophomore anna mcgrath (Lewis Center, Ohio) placed 9th overall with a time of 4:53.73, despite being a senior. morgan cloning (Carmel, Indiana) Finished 4th with 12 points.th He recorded an overall time of 4:56.56.
