Casey was named to the All-American first team and ranked third in the nation in points among defensemen. He scored seven goals and dished out 38 assists, third-most in the country, averaging 1.13 points per game. His 38 assists tied Tom Polonic (1963-64) and the University of Michigan's helper program record by a sophomore defensive player. luke hughes (2022-23). Casey, a native of Fort Myers, Fla., scored in 28 of 40 games this season and had 12 games with multiple points, led by four assists against Notre Dame in March. . Casey played in 77 games and finished his collegiate career with 15 goals and 59 assists for 74 points. He had six power-play goals, one game-winning goal, blocked 71 shots, and finished at +20.
