EA Sports College Football 25 is expected to hit stores at some point this summer, but it looks like they've now locked in an idea of what the cover will look like.
However, according to Matt Brown of Extra Points, EA Sports only features current college football players who play in power conferences, so if you're expecting past players or coaches to appear on the cover, He said he would be disappointed.
This is a notable difference from the past, in the pre-NIL days, when players were only allowed to appear on the cover of EA Sports after their NCAA eligibility had expired.
And it's not just one current football player featured on the cover. Apparently, EA Sports is planning to feature multiple athletes in consideration of releasing multiple versions of the game.
EA Sports last published a popular college football video game more than a decade ago in 2013, after which the company announced it would no longer sell the game.
The decision followed a court ruling that forced EA Sports to pay compensation to athletes who were previously included in the product but not paid.
And after the new NIL rules were created two years ago, EA went public with an announcement that the game would return at some point in the future. That day is getting closer every day.
