One of the top high school football programs in the state — along with one of the top prospects in the 2025 class — got a visit from Nebraska football’s entire assistant coaching staff Monday as the Huskers continue making a push for local recruits.
Chase Loftin, a four-star tight end who recently transferred to Millard South, posted a photo of himself, NU offensive coordinator and tight ends coach Marcus Satterfield, and the rest of Nebraska’s assistants inside Millard South’s weight room. NCAA rules prohibit head coaches from making in-school visits to prospects in the spring evaluation period, so head coach Matt Rhule couldn’t be present.
The Huskers could — and were present.
Nebraska already has one tight end, American Fork (Utah) Lone Peak three-star Bear Tenney, in the 2025 class. NU intends to add at least one more tight end, and Platteview’s Reiman Zebert holds a Husker scholarship offer as well. Satterfield and the entire offensive staff — quarterbacks coach Glenn Thomas, offensive line coach Donovan Raiola, running backs coach EJ Barthel and receivers coach Garret McGuire — made it over to Platteview Monday.
Zebert intends to make visits to Duke, Stanford and Wisconsin, as well. Loftin plans an official visit to Nebraska June 21 and has, according to recruiting services, also scheduled visits to Florida State and Texas A&M. Both prospects have been to NU often in recent months.
