After appearing in the College Football Playoff for the first time a few months ago, Texas football is set to be one of the most represented programs in the 2024 NFL Draft.
The Longhorns have a number of top prospects, with three players going in the second round. Byron Murphy II, widely considered the best defensive tackle in the draft, was taken 16th overall by the Seahawks. After the Chiefs traded to the Bills, speedster Xavier Worthy was assigned to Kansas City and given a new lease on life. On Day 2, the Longhorns played with TyVondre Sweat and Jonathan Brooks off against the Titans and Panthers. Adonai Mitchell's wait ended with the Colts finishing No. 52 overall.

Mitchell, a first-year transfer from Georgia State in 2023, had 55 receptions, 845 yards and 11 touchdowns in his only season with the Longhorns and was one of the Texans' top pass-catching options last season. Ta. Fellow receiver Worthy broke the record for fastest 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine in March, running a time of 4.21 seconds.
