The WVU soccer team unveiled the new uniforms it will wear for the 2024 season at Saturday's Gold-Blue Spring Game.
“In developing the new uniforms, it was important to us to blend our company's rich history and tradition with modern technology. We also wanted to make sure people instantly recognized that the West Virginia Mountaineers were playing I wish I had,” athletic director Len Baker said in a release. “I believe our design team, equipment staff, and our partners at Nike did a great job with these uniforms.”
The Flying WV returned to shoulder pads for the first time since 2012. The white jersey features a gold outline on the blue number for the first time since 2012.
The gold pants feature “Nehlen Stripes” for the first time since 1993, featuring the two blue stripes that first appeared in former head coach Don Nehlen's first game at the helm of WVU. ing. The blue pants also have “Nehlen stripes”.
