(CBS Detroit) – The Detroit Lions have opened applications for the 2024 Touchdown in Your Town program, which supports high school football and cheer programs.
Through this program, teams provide equipment, technology, clothing, and/or grants from the Detroit Lions Foundation. This program is in partnership with the Michigan Dairy Association and Planet Fitness.
“We are excited to continue impacting Michigan's high school football teams through Touchdown in Your Town, and are pleased to expand our reach by also supporting high school cheer programs. ” said Roxanne Cain, vice president of community relations for the Detroit Lions Foundation. statement. “By leveraging resources with the Detroit Lions Foundation and partnering with UDIM and Planet Fitness, we will empower select schools and ensure students have the tools they need to succeed in the field. Interested schools can apply online. High school coaches, athletic directors, soccer staff, and cheer staff are eligible to apply.
Applications open Monday and will be accepted until May 29 at 11:59 p.m. The selected school will be notified in June.
