Darger is BYU's athletic administrator for women's soccer, men's and women's cross country, women's gymnastics, spirit teams, men's and women's indoor and outdoor track and field, and also oversees human resources and gender equity for the athletics department. “I am honored to have been selected to serve on the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Committee and would like to thank Brett Yormark (Big 12 Commissioner) and Dana Schaaf (Vice President) for nominating me to represent the Big 12,” said Darger. I am grateful.” “I care deeply about the continued growth and success of women's basketball, and I care deeply about the student-athletes we lead. This is a dynamic time in the history of college sports, and I am excited to begin working with Holtzman (NCAA Vice President of Women's Basketball), her staff, and my fellow committee members. ”
Darger has served on the committee since 2019 and will fill the position vacated by Jill Shields, Kansas State University's vice president of athletics, who will retire on August 31st.
