Good morning, Broncos Country!
The Denver Broncos have made a lot of moves over the past three days.
These moves are expected to get the franchise back to where everyone wants it to be.
But Sean Payton and the Broncos made a move Saturday that will pay immediate dividends: trading John Franklin Myers.
The defensive lineman instantly improves Denver's defense. The move with the New York Jets also caused media coverage of the Jets to question why New York made this move for a future sixth-round pick. The media wondered why the Jets made the move, considering Meyers has been a really good defenseman.
But there was a moment in October 2021 when Myers signed a four-year, $55 million contract after being claimed off waivers in 2019 that showed the kind of person and person Myers is. .
While talking about the new contract, Myers broke down in tears and became very emotional as he talked about the contract and what it meant to his son.
“I want to give him every chance because I’m playing football for him.”

As for the NFL Draft, we'll know what that selection means for the Broncos in a few seasons.
For now, trading for Myers gives them a great player to improve their defense and an even better character in the locker room.
