Madison, Wisconsin–Logan Pearson of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville was named QuikTrip Player of the Year as the top individual selected to the 2024 All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) men's basketball team by the league's coaches. . Additionally, UW-Oshkosh's Michael Metcalf Glassman was named the Kwik Trip Newcomer of the Year and UW-Platteville's Jeff Gard was named the Kwik Trip Coach of the Year.
Pearson earned first-team recognition for the second year in a row. He ranks second in the conference with 23.4 points per game, third in free throw percentage with .842, tied for fourth with 6.0 rebounds per contest and .437 3-point field goal percentage, and tied for fifth with 55 3-pointers made. It becomes. the goal. Pearson surpassed the 20-point mark in 19 games, including a career-high 38 points against UC La Crosse on January 27th.
Metcalf Glassman is third in the WIAC with a field goal percentage of .539, tied for fifth with 6.0 rebounds per game and tied for 16th with 12.4 points per game. Newcomers are defined as student-athletes who are participating in men's basketball for the first time this season. Transfers are not eligible unless they did not participate in men's basketball at their previous school.
UC Whitewater's Miles Barnstable and Trevon Chislom continued to be named to the first team from a season ago. Barnstable also won Rookie of the Year.
Guard earned the coaching honor for the third time in his career (2018, 2020) after leading the Pioneers to their 23rd regular season WIAC championship in program history and their fourth WIAC Tournament crown. UC Platteville had a 23-4 record with him and qualified for the NCAA Division III Tournament. The 23 wins were the most since the 2019-20 season.
A five-member All-Defense team was selected, and an All-Sportsmanship team was selected for individuals who demonstrated exemplary sportsmanship throughout the season. The All-Sportsmanship team included one member of him from each school.
