LSU provided two key pieces to Brian Kelly's coaching staff Friday after the contracts of Frank Wilson and Brad Davis were approved by the university, according to Advocate Wilson Alexander.
The two Louisiana natives are under contract through the 2026 season, keeping their key assistants in Baton Rouge.
The LSU Board of Supervisors amended the contracts to increase Wilson and Davis' future salaries.
Davis will earn an average of $940,000 per year over the next three years, while Wilson will earn $1 million per year over the same period and will be paid $1.2 million in his final year.
Wilson has played a pivotal role in the Tigers' recruiting success in recent years, and after performing his magic to earn a commitment from the nation's No. 1 running back (Harlem Berry), Wilson will now receive a raise. I will receive it.
He has proven success on the trail over the years, and Berry joins the recruit's impressive list of wins. In addition to serving as the running backs coach, Wilson also serves as the associate head coach.
For Davis, he has evolved into one of the best offensive line coaches in the country since arriving in Baton Rouge during the Ed Orgeron era.
He has built the Tigers' offensive line into one of the best in the nation and shows no signs of slowing down after signing a string of top players.
We've seen both Wilson and Davis dominate the recruiting trail with superstar assistants set to remain in Baton Rouge for the foreseeable future on Brian Kelly's staff.
Now, as Kelly enters his third year at South, the program continues to move in the right direction with an all-star staff on both sides of the ball.
Kelly revamped his defensive staff during the offseason, headlined by defensive coordinator Blake Baker, cornerbacks coach Corey Raymond and defensive line coach Bo Davis.
As the offseason continues, the Tigers will continue to be active in the NCAA transfer portal and finalize their roster before training begins next summer.
