detroit โ michigan wolverines national champion Chris Jenkins On Friday, he was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals with the 49th pick in the second round of the NFL Draft.
Jenkins dominated in and out of the Big House during the Wolverines' championship run, with his strength and one-armed power swaps on full display.
In 2023, the defensive tackle recorded 37 total tackles, including 10 solo and 20 assists. He also had 2.5 sacks for 9 yards, one fumble recovery and one interception.
Jenkins comes from a football family. His father, Darome Jenkins, was a four-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle and two-time All-Pro in the National Football League.
Chris started all 15 games and was named an Associated Press All-American third team and All-Big Ten Conference second team after helping the Men in Maze to an undefeated record with a 15-0 record.
Heading into his senior season, Chris was named team captain, and at the end of the confetti-filled season, he was named the Wolverines' secondary defensive player of the year.
