AMES, Iowa — The Iowa State Cyclones will open the 2025 football season against Kansas State University in Dublin, Ireland.
On Wednesday, Iowa State athletics announced the Cyclones will play their first football game outside the United States at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland. The Cyclones will face the Kansas State Wildcats on August 23, 2025.
The match is part of the Aer Lingus College Football Classic, which aims to promote Ireland as a tourist destination by introducing American college football to Ireland. To date, eight American football matches have been played in Ireland, with three more scheduled.

This matchup will be the first Big 12 Conference game for the Irish, and the first time ISU and Kansas State will meet in a season opener.
